Welcome!
I’m a psych-mental health nurse practitioner, mama, wife and content creator. I grew up in Akron, Ohio, went to Ohio State University for undergrad and finished my academic career by earning my doctorate from Columbia University. Five years ago, my husband, Marlon, and I moved to Atlanta together because we wanted a fresh start in a big city. It has been a journey for me, trying to find my purpose in this big world. Becoming a mom can be such a positive but life-changing experience. I have found myself struggling to prioritize ‘me’ at times. But in the midst of my uncertainty, God led me to create this blog to help women who may feel lost or may have struggled, just like me. I hope this blog encourages and inspires you all to pursue your passions and be the best you!
ABOUT THE BLOG:
I’m so glad you’re here! For years, I have been questioning my purpose and passion. I’d pray, pray, pray and still feel unclear about my place on this earth. But often times, the answer was right in front of me! My role as a psychiatric nurse practitioner has allowed me to have a platform to advocate for people who struggle with their mental health. I created this blog as a resource for women and mothers of color who want to prioritize their mental health and wellness without feeling judged or alone in the process. I hope this blog allows you to feel inspired, empowered, motivated & supported.
